At the same time, 73% of UW students said they "Felt very lonely" within the past 12 months, with almost half of those saying they had felt very lonely in the past 2 weeks (2016 NCHA-II University of Waterloo). Join us for a workshop on how to develop and enhance mutually supportive relationships, and how to build inclusive communities and support those around us. This guide to initiating and deepening connections is for those who don?t even know where to start. Neurodiversity welcome! Snacks and tea will be provided! This event will strive to be socially accessible, meaning that social missteps will be tolerated and any unspoken rules will be explained. Join us for a facilitated discussion on toxic behaviours and beliefs in academia and how to improve our community and the attitudes we and others hold.
