Welcome back everyone!


March is about to be a very busy month, check out all the cool stuff coming
up in the next few weeks :)


   - *Tea + Talk* is on *every Tuesday* from 12 pm - 1:30 pm in PHY 104,
   the FemPhys room. Bring your lunch, a mug, and a friend to meet some
   neato folks. There will be loads of tea, including noncaffeinated options.
   Stop by whenever you can – for half an hour or five minutes. New folks are
   always welcome <3



   - *FemPhys x FemLab: Philosophy Hangout* is happening this *Friday,
   March 03* at 4:00 pm at the UW Grad House. We're bringing philosophers
   and scientists together to talk about feminist philosophy of science! Join
   us for some free food, new friends, and great discussion. (Facebook

   - *Mentoring Night* is here! Come learn about research, the industry,
   and everything in between from a ton of mentors working in physics and
   physics-related fields. This event is open to everybody and features casual
   conversation, a supportive structure, and of course, free food! See you in
   the IQC 2nd Floor Kitchen on *Thursday, March 09* from 6 - 9 pm. (Facebook

   - *Hidden Figures Movie Night.* This event is SOLD OUT. The UW community
   will be watching an Oscar award-winning movie all about celebrating the team
   of African-American women mathematicians (Katherine Johnson, Dorothy
   Vaughan, and Mary Jackson) who served a vital role in NASA during the
   early years of the US space program. Happening in the Princess Twin Cinema
   on Thursday, March 16. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 6:45 pm.



   - *FemTalks: Science + Colonialism*: This discussion will be covering
   some of the past + present interactions between the astrophysics community
   and Native Hawaiians, with a focus on the controversial plan to build the
   Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). This event is open to everyone, no prior
   knowledge of astrophysics or the history of the TMT is needed. Date & time
   TBA.



   - *Ancient Greek Mathematicians: Intellectual Outliers, a Steeped
   Thoughts Award Talk by Jacqueline Feke *: Date & time TBA. Check
