You are invited to attend a talk given by Professor Steven Furino describing
the life and times of some extraordinary female mathematicians.

Rafaello. The School of Athens. Christians throwing pagans
to the lions. Russian marriages. Afghanistan. And you. This will be a
random walk through the history of mathematics that begins in the
Renaissance, wanders through time intersecting the lives of some
prominent female mathematicians, and ends in our room. The talk is
accessible to all.

Thursday October 1
