Fri Apr 28 11:33:37 EDT 2017
What is happening? Issues have been identified due to changing the existing forwarding address in the “email forward (delivery mailbox)” field in WatIAM to username at edu.uwaterloo.ca<mailto:username at edu.uwaterloo.ca>.
When is this happening? Beginning around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 and is currently ongoing (see details below). The issue should be resolved by early afternoon.
What is the impact?
· On Thursday, April 27 from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. all senders would have received a failure to deliver message when attempting to send email to Office 365 users (using any email address).
· As of Thursday, April 27 at 11:00 p.m., users could receive emails that were sent to userid at edu.uwaterloo.ca<mailto:userid at edu.uwaterloo.ca> only.
· As of Friday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. all emails sent to their primary email address (as set in their WatIAM account) as well as their userid at edu.uwaterloo.ca<mailto:userid at edu.uwaterloo.ca> address are being delivered as expected.
· IST is working to re-enable all iterations of their email addresses (e.g. friendly email address, username at edu.uwaterloo<mailto:username at edu.uwaterloo>, long form email address).
