[Faccus] Skype for Business emergency maintenance – March 8

What is happening? As a result of bad hardware on a VM host that needs to be replaced, a Skype for Business server in the EC2 pool needs to be migrated to another host.

When is this happening? March 8 between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.

What is the impact? If you are homed on the server that is being moved, you will be disconnected once the server is shut down for the migration.  At this time you will be immediately signed in to another available server in the EC2 pool.  Active phone calls will not disconnect and your client will show that it is reconnecting during this time.  Once the server is migrated, users will be re-balanced back to their home server which will cause another disconnect and reconnect to that server.

What do you need to do? If after the migration your client is not reconnecting to the affected server in a reasonable amount of time (1-2 minutes), you can cancel the sign-in process in your client and attempt to sign-in again manually.
