[Faccus] Request Tracker (RT) data retention – March 1

What is happening? All Request Tracker (RT) tickets that have been ‘Resolved’ or ‘Rejected’ for more than 8 years will be deleted; this will be done on a regular basis. (Note: ‘Resolved’ and ‘Rejected’ refer to RT ticket statuses.)

When is this happening? Wednesday, March 1, 2017

What is the impact?

·         Tickets that have been ‘Resolved’ or ‘Rejected’ for more than 8 years will no longer be available.

·         The University will not incur extra costs in keeping data longer than necessary. See Records Management Frequently Asked Questions<https://uwaterloo.ca/records-management/records-classification-and-retention-schedule/frequently-asked-questions#faq1> for more information.
