Comment: Issue has been resolved as of 10:14am with the application of the new virus definition. Thisissue affected more than just PDF attachments, so users may need to re-send any emails where the attachment was stripped in the past day.

Original impact statement

User Impact: Users may be unable to send or receive emails that contain pdf attachments.

More info: Yesterday's virus definition for Forefront for MS Exchange is causing Forefront to quarantine legitimate attachments and returning an NDR to the sender with the following information:

Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server removed a file since it was found to be infected.
File name: "******.pdf"
Malware name: "JS/Injector.A"

Current status: We're ensuring that the latest virus definitions do not cause further impact before rolling them out to production
