What is happening? Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and license servers will be restarted to apply updates. Servers include: licsrv1, licsrv2, vdisrv1 – 6,vdivmm

When is this happening? Saturday, October 29 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

What is the impact? Virtual workstations will be live-migrated which may result in performance degradation for private VDI users. SPSS VDI users may be required to re-authenticate during the maintenance window. Users of MATLAB, Comsol Multiphysics, ArcGIS will not be able to start new instances of the software while the license server is rebooting. Existing sessions should continue to work, but could terminate unexpectedly in case of an extended outage. Work should be saved frequently to avoid data loss.
