[Faccus] Lync service interruption – October 5

What is happening? As a result of upcoming VMWare maintenance, various Lync servers will experience brief interruptions of service while work is completed.
When is this happening? The work will take place during various maintenance windows as follows:
· Wednesday, October 5 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
· Thursday, October 13 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
· Friday, October 14 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
· Monday, October 17 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
What is the impact? Users active on the server impacted in each window will be automatically moved to the next available server and will be moved back after the maintenance is complete. Active phone calls will not drop and the users will notice their client disconnect and re-connect while this move takes place. It takes about 10-30 seconds for this to happen.
