Originally deployed in 2009 and built on a Sun Microsystems/Oracle Waveset solution, support for the existing WatIAM system will reach 'end of life' this year. A project team formed under the Identity and Access Management Next Generation (IAMNG) program was charged with conducting a search for a replacement to the existing WatIAM system, and through an RFP process, has selected the IdentityIQ (IIQ) platform from SailPoint Technologies Inc. IIQ will provide complete provisioning services for on premise and cloud based applications, password management, and automated access management services. To assist in the design and implementation of IIQ, the University has also partnered with KeyData Associates Inc., who have extensive experience with system integrations, specializing in IAM.
During the coming months, project staff will be working closely with KeyData and SailPoint to implement IIQ and ensure the stakeholder needs of the University are met and successfully integrated into the design of the new solution. This project will include the replacement of the existing WatIAM Sun Mircosystems/Oracle based solution and the introduction of new IAM services.
