Resolved: Maintenance performed this morning has restored access to the Nexus domain controllers.

What you need to do: Users who are still having difficulty accessing or authenticating to the domain should reboot (shutdown, not log off) their workstation. If the issue persists, please contact the IST Service Desk, helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca<mailto:helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca> or ext. 44357.

Update: Issues accessing or authenticating to the Nexus domain persist. Maintenance will be performed on the Nexus domain controllers in an effort to resolve these issues.



When is this happenings? Thursday, August 27 between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.



What is the impact? During this maintenance window, users will experience authentication problems and will not be able to add new computers to the domain.

What is happening? Some areas/groups across campus reported issues accessing or authenticating to the Nexus domain. IST has worked with the local service desks to fix some of the issues found and continue to investigate those that are persisting.

Note, to apply the current fixes, workstations will have to reboot.
