What is happening? We are encountering a Netapp bug with OSX 10.10 clients and documents failing to load. A fix will be applied to resolve this issue. This work will impact all clients using a file* share.

When is this happening? Saturday, January 31, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

What is the impact? During the maintenance window there will be a 2 minute interruption in service, then approximately 10 minutes of service, then another 2 minute interruption of service.

This work will affect all clients (faculty, staff and students) using a file* share, including:

· N: drive

· R: drive

· roaming profile

· Enterprise systems (e.g. Quest, JobMine, myHRinfo) that depend on Netapp storage will be unavailable.

· Automated processes scheduled to occur during the upgrade window should be rescheduled or monitored closely for connection issues (e.g. MATLAB).

What will users need to do? If there is content on their share they will need access to on Saturday, they should copy it to their workstation and work on it there. They can then place the content back on their share after the maintenance window has passed.
