Impact:           Older model BlackBerry devices (e.g. Bold, Torch, Curve) activated on the BES 5 server will experience email delivery delays

Resolution:     Problem RESOLVED without service interruption

Comment:        Configuration changes were implemented without service restart or outage.

======= Original Notice ======= 

 Calendar synchronization issues have been reported by a number of users with older BlackBerry devices. The problem has been verified and corrective measure involves stopping all BlackBerry services to update a corrupted configuration file. 

Users with devices connected to the server will experience message delivery delays during the emergency maintenance. Affected devices are running the older BlackBerry OS (e.g. Bold, Curve and Torch devices). Devices will not synchronize email or calendar events during the outage. Email sent to devices during the outage will arrive when service is resumed. Email sent from devices during the outage may need to be re-sent.

This service interruption does not affect newer devices (Z10, Z30, Q5, Q10).
