Good day,

The next step in the Active Directory Consolidation Project is to remove and from the Nexus DHCP entries on the Infoblox Campus DNS servers. This is required before we can decommission Laputa and Uhmu two old Windows 2003 APEX DC's. There should be no effect to users as the remaining entries, 26, and 27 will still be served via the Infoblox servers.

This change will occur the morning of April 25th.

This will allow IST to determine the remaining machines that have hardcoded these old values so that the computing reps can be contacted and the hardcoded DNS entries updated.

To help this future process, please check all hardcoded DNS values. Machines that have and should be updated to ONLY include:

Some groups have campus firewall rules allowing and, IST will automatically add the new DNS servers to this allow lists to ensure connectivity, and remove the old entries ONLY once the DC's are decommissioned.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
