Digital Media Asset Management (DMAM) consists of management tasks and decisions surrounding the ingestion, annotation, cataloguing, storage, retrieval and distribution of digital assets, such as digital images, animations, videos, audio, and possibly other digital assets. Pascal will give a project update on the investigation phase of digital asset management for campus. The goal of the project is to provide recommendations to support whether / how the university should proceed with a campus-wide DAM project.
The "Mass Communication Investigation Project" has been researching mass communication solutions being used on campus, including the procedures, guidelines, and policies that are in place for these solutions. The project is investigating what other universities are using for mass communication. The project will be doing research on technologies currently available in the market place, including a high-level comparison of features and functionality, and cost estimates. Bob will provide an update.
