Carlos,

You might not find an HD specific degausser on campus.  As a substitute, you might reach out to the physicists and chemists at the Institute for Quantum Computing or any NMR labs on campus.  They have HUGE electromagnets in their labs that can disrupt pacemakers and wipe credit cards @ 5ft.  I bet some time a few centimetres from the electromagnets could do some damage to the data.

See that big grey canister in the background? That'll probably do some damage to the data on your devices.
