Speaker: Lara Babalola, Web & E-Communications Officer, Faculty of Science

Drupal is a free, popular content management system (CMS) that powers government, corporate, university and personal websites.

Drupal's popularity is largely due to the existence of many free modules or add-ons that extend the features and functionality of a basic Drupal site, making it possible to create very sophisticated websites and web communities. Common website content management tasks, such as building a menu or creating pages, are typically performed by logging into a Drupal website then clicking links and filling out forms.

Lara will be giving an overview of the key features of Drupal and she will also describe how the Faculty of Science uses Drupal to create and manage its website content and users.

Please arrive early as seating is limited.
