New standards are being set to support the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Some will be in effect soon. In this Friday morning seminar Rose and Andrea will provide a summary of:

        1. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and what you will need to know as UW staff

        2. An overview of the  5 Accessibility Standards

        3.  Focus on Information & Communication Standards (Including technology applications) and Customer Service

        4. What does accessibility mean?  Bill 508 software compliance and ideas for content compliance

        5. New UW Steering committee to communicate ICT updates, impact and collaborative roll-out of standards

One of the first areas where we will try to apply the new standards will be in the Online Learning Environment Review Project (presented last week).
