One way to help evaluate a support service is to check out what the 
competition is doing.  Last term, a few members of the IST Client Services 
group spent some time investigating student notebook support models at 
other universities. The project findings include a little more than what we 
initially set out to discover. In addition, two of IST's current co-op 
students will briefly summarize their experiences using a notebook at Waterloo.
