Hello everyone!

The Sneha Foundation is organizing a fundraiser concert to generate funds
and awareness about their initiative to build a children's home in
Bangladesh for orphaned and disadvantaged children. Last year, they did a
similar event where they were able to raise $36,000 CAD for the cyclone Sidr
victims in Bangladesh and this year they are anticipating a similar response
for this initiative as well. They need all of your help in order to make
this project a success!
In the first part of the concert Rasheda Muneer, Ananta Ahmed, Tonima and
Rifat will take us down the memory lane of forever Bangladeshi songs through
an entertaining skit written by renowned Bangladeshi poet Ferdous Nahar. The
second half of the show will make you feel as if you're gathered around a
camp fire under the starry night with the melodious tunes of the
contemporary Bangladeshi music moguls like Bappa, Arnob, Habib, Bassbaba
Sumon, Anila and alike - performed by our local talents Emma, Mushfiq,
Zubair, Tonima and Hema.

You can go home humming the tunes with a content heart that 100% of what you
paid for, will go directly to building a home for 200 disadvantaged children
in Bangladesh.

A bit more about the Sneha Foundation –

Sneha Foundation is an independent non-profit social development
organization that works with orphaned, disadvantaged and the abandoned
children in Bangladesh. Sneha Foundation will provide 200 such children in
Bangladesh an upbringing with love, care, health, nutrition and protection
that they need to survive, grow and develop to their full potential - from
their vulnerable childhood right up to a productive, rewarding adulthood. It
will provide quality medical attention and primary education within the
facility and higher secondary education and skills trainings at partner
institutions with opportunity for merit based further education leading to
self reliance. It is far from a regular 'orphanage' and more of a serious
undertaking to encourage and drive these children to excellence.

The Sneha Foundation has teamed up and is being represented by its global
ambassador, the infamous musician in Bangladesh Bassbaba Sumon. Other
Bangladeshi artists, including Ornob, Bappa Majumder, Shahana Bajpai are all
well aware of the Sneha Foundation, and they have graciously agreed to
donate proceeds from their Toronto show in October, 2008 to them!
