[Bridges] Two weeks to Bridges 2016!

In just over 2 weeks Bridges Finland will begin. The organizers have been hard at work planning a wonderful conference and we look forward to seeing you in Jyväskylä!

Registration
------------

Online registration via mathartfun.com is no longer available.  However, it will be possible to register for the conference on-site on the morning of August 9th.

Excursion registration
----------------------

Please be aware that registration for the Excursion Day on Saturday, August 13 must be booked online at

  https://payments.jyu.fi/events/bridges_finland_2016

by July 31. An exciting day has been planned for us. The program starts at 9:00am with a visit to Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä. Buses will depart from the Alvar Aalto Museum and return back to Jyväskylä by 11pm. Tickets are 63 euro per person and include bus transportation, lunch, museum tickets, and a ticket to the evening musical concert.  More Information on the Excursion Day can be found at

Audio/visual information for presenters

If you are giving a talk be aware that all the rooms have a computer (with windows OS) and a projector. We recommend all speakers use the computers provided and bring their presentations on a memory stick/USB thumb drive. If you wish to use a personal laptop/computer, you should bring the necessary adapters and cables. The projector connectors are VGA. Please note that for Finland a travel adapter is needed for the power sockets. In Finland the standard voltage is 230V and standard frequency 50 Hz. The power sockets that are used are of type F, but the sockets also work with plugs C and E. Additional information on the Finland power plugs and sockets can be found at
