For the last two years, the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) has operated a program that incubates startups at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning. Within each program year, the Quantum Stream is composed of 25 ventures which range from pre-incorporation to slightly more mature startups.

The QML Program offers a robust set of resources for new founders to launch and scale a startup:

• Business Guidance and Investor Access - mentorship from experienced quantum entrepreneurs who have experience scaling quantum-based companies whether as an entrepreneur or early investor.

• Capital - pre-seed investment of up to USD $80K from three prominent venture capital firms

• Quantum Access - quantum computing resources from D-Wave, Rigetti, and Xanadu

• Technical Education - an intensive technical bootcamp lead by Professor Peter Wittek

• Access to Scientists - Technical validation and feedback from leading academics researchers such as: Seth Lloyd (quantum information and complex systems), Roger Melko (quantum many-body physics), Michele Mosca (quantum algorithms and cryptography), and Peter Wittek (quantum machine learning)

• Business Support -  guidance and business development support from MBAs at Canada’s top business school, the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto

Participants also receive office space in downtown Toronto and hands-on support from the CDL Quantum Team.
