Subject: Chancellor’s Fellowships available at the University of Strathclyde
Dear colleagues,
I apologize if you receive this message more than once.
A number of Chancellor’s Fellowships are available at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, UK. These are 5-year positions, at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, which come with the perspective of an open-ended academic appointment (“tenure”). The positions are directed to “bold, ambitious and innovative future research leaders”. More information at
Please notice that the area of “Quantum Technologies” has been identified as strategic priority for recruitment to the Strathclyde Chancellor’s Fellowship Scheme. A dedicated e-mail address for candidate queries exists at the University level (chancellors-fellowships@strath.ac.uk), but potential candidates should feel free to contact me (marco.piani@strath.ac.uk) in case they want to inquire about joining the Department of Physics, and in particular the Optics Division (http://www.strath.ac.uk/physics/research/opticsdivision/). I may be able to provide more specific (to the Department) information or at least redirect your query within the Department.
Closing date for applications: 27 October 2014
Please circulate and invite suitable candidates to apply. Thank you.
Best regards,
Marco Piani
