We are excited to announce the 14th Annual Canadian Summer School on
Quantum Information (CSSQI) and the 11th Annual Canadian Quantum
Information Students' Conference (CQISC) which are both to be held
this summer at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario Canada.

** The 14th Annual Canadian Summer School on Quantum Information (CSSQI)

The Summer School is to be held from June 16 - June 20 2014.

The CSSQI is a 5 day long summer school dedicated to providing
introductory lectures on quantum information science to a general
audience of graduate-level computer scientists, physicists and
mathematicians. International students are welcome!

The school consists of five consecutive days of talks that cover the
basics of quantum information processing as well as more advanced
topics including but not limited to; implementations, error-correction
and fault tolerance, quantum information theory, quantum algorithms,
quantum communication, and non-locality.

** The 11th Annual Canadian Quantum Information Students' Conference (CQISC)

The Student Conference is to be held the week after the summer school,
from June 23 - June 27 2014.

The CQISC is a 5 day long graduate student conference focused on
subjects related to quantum information. The conference is open to
students of various backgrounds including, but not limited to,
physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry and engineering.
International students are welcome!

The CQISC is an opportunity for graduate students interested in
quantum information to come together, make valuable connections,
practice their presentation skills, and learn about the work being
done by their peers. In this spirit, all participants are encouraged
(but not required) to submit a 20 minute talk or contribute a poster
describing their research.

** Registration and Financial Assistance

Registration for both the summer school and the student conference is free !

Registration for both the summer school and the student conference can
be done at the Fields Institute website.

Financial assistance is available, however no specific amount of
funding can be guaranteed at this time. Applications for financial
assistance can be done at the same website as registration. Since
registration is free, if your attendance is contingent on a specific
amount of funding, we recommend you go ahead and register prior to the
financial assistance deadline, and then update your plans accordingly
when financial assistance announcements have been made.


** Important Dates

The deadline for application for financial assistance is April 9th, 2014.
The deadline for Student Conference Talk and Poster submissions is May 16, 2014
The deadline for registration is June 9th, 2014
