Hi Marlon,

Assuming it is an University owned computer, they should be able to obtain a Windows 10 license from the ISTWeb store https://ist-webstore.uwaterloo.ca for no cost. See screen capture below.

As to how to upgrade to it, or to install Windows, that would be a question for a Windows support person, and not so much a MacTUG one.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi,
I installed Parallels on my MacBook pro and it's great, much better than VirtualBox which would drop the mouse and keybaord and require VM restarts at random times.

But Parallels downloads and installs Win10 Home.  How do I get a license key for that version of Windows.  The most expensive route is Microsoft's store.  What do other people do?  The campus keys are not for Win10Home, so they do not work.

With the popularity of Parallels, I'm sure someone else has solved this.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Erick
