Hey FemPhys friends!

There are two really worthwhile events going on this Dec 7th. Check 'em out!

1) The Faculty of Science HeForShe Working Group is hosting a workshop on the topic of microaggressions. The workshop will take place on the 7th December from 1.30pm-3pm in MC2038. All faculty, students and staff are welcome. Space is limited, so please register for the event here: https://microagression-dec-1.eventbrite.ca

2) Women in STEM regularly suffer from gender-based harassment and exclusion, a phenomenon that is reflected in their chronic underrepresentation on Wikipedia. The University of Waterloo Library is hosting an edit-a-thon on December 7th, 2016 to help counter the trend and improve the representation of women in STEM fields on the site as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence events taking place on campus. Please join us at the Dana Porter Library from 12:00 – 2:30 pm to create and improve pages that highlight the work of women in STEM. First-time and experienced editors welcome! Pizza and refreshments will be provided at no cost.

For more information check out our event page here .

Good luck with finals!
