Dear Dr. Geshnizjani, I thought this might be of interest to you and
members of the University of Waterloo’s Women in Mathematics (WiM)
committee.

I would like to take this opportunity to share the attached invitation to
the NRC Celebrating the success of women in STEM Symposium

Over 100 years of women’s research across Canada. *



The Symposium will launch on February 9 with three consecutive scientific
discussions on climate change impact and adaptation, emerging technologies
and health and well-being, as well as through the sharing of virtual
research posters from across Canada. All women researchers and students
from Canadian universities and the federal government are invited to submit
posters. The posters may also be selected for presentation as part of the
scientific discussions at the Symposium.



On February 10, the Symposium will feature an expert panel on women’s
leadership and ambition with Isabelle Hudon (BDC), Dr. Shamila
Nair-Bedouelle (UNESCO), Dr. Angelica Lim (Simon Fraser University), Anne
Nguyen (Health Innovation District) and Dr. Laurie Rousseau-Nepton
(Canada-France-Hawaii Observatory).



I would also encourage you to share the attached invitation with your
colleagues and students.
