[Female-math-faculty] Women in Math Day, Picture a Scientist post-movie discussion

The International Committee for Women in Mathematics has arranged for a
viewing of the Picture a Scientist movie.

PICTURE A SCIENTIST chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are
writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins,
chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a
journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from
brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, from cramped
laboratories to spectacular field stations, we encounter scientific
luminaries - including social scientists, neuroscientists, and
psychologists - who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself
more diverse, equitable, and open to all.

will enable one viewing between May 12-14.

WiCS and WiM will hold a post-movie on Thursday May 13, 9:00pm-10:30pm ET
(the time has been set to try to be accessible to graduate students and
post docs who may be around).
