In 2020, Diana Castañeda Santos from the CEMC acted as “Deputy Leader” for
Canada’s team at the European Girls Mathematical Olympiad.  The EGMO team
consists of 4 female secondary school students.

Diana will be on parental leave this coming Winter and so we are looking
for someone who might be interested in taking on this role.  We are asking
in the CEMC but also want to ask across the broader Faculty.  This would
only for one year, as Diana will take this back on in 2022.

The role would involve:
(a) assisting with two virtual training camps (one in January, one in
February, dates not yet established); the assistance may be more logistical
and administrative than mathematical
(b) be Deputy Leader for the EGMO from April 9 to 15; it’s still apparently
scheduled to be in person (Republic of Georgia) but that seems highly
unlikely; thus, likely an online EGMO during that week; the commitment is
probably pretty extensive for those days

Would you be willing to promote this through WIM?  Anyone interested could
let Diana and I know if they want more information.
